Rick Attig and Courtenay Thompson live in Portland, Oregon. Rick and Courtenay are former journalists and writers, and love to travel with their sons, Will and Mitchell, and Mitchell’s family, his wife, Alex, and twins, Rory and Hazel. We maintain this blog mainly to keep in touch with our family and friends while we are visiting new places, but we hope others enjoy our photographs and posts about our experiences.

Many thanks for the case of Italian wine you so generously sent to us. It arrived Friday and we intend to give it the attention it deserves.
WHOOPS! My mistake. Turns out the case was shipped here erroneously by the Wine Exchange in California, where I, too, am a customer. Normally I would hold your wine hostage, but, seeing as you obviously are a distant relative, UPS will retrieve it from my clutches and you may be able to receive it in Portland at the end of the week. Enjoy!
